WE NEED YOU TO DEFEND YOUR PROPERTY RIGHTS
AB1157 will be heard in the Assembly Housing Committee on Thursday April 24 at 9am in Sacramento. Join us to speak out at the State Capitol.
AB1157 seeks to permanently tighten California's tenant protection laws, restricting affordable rental stock provided by small property owners. The bill would drastically lower the annual rent increase to 2% plus the cost of living (capped at 5%), despite double-digit inflation. It would extend rent control to single-family homes and condos and mandate relocation assistance for no-fault evictions. Violators face civil penalties and up to triple damages.
Join us to protest the bill at the State Capitol on April 24, 2025 Thursday 8:30am.
