The recent, and dramatic, rise in rates hasn’t benefited many segments of the economy except for the private lending space. Yes, general market volatility has resulted, but it has cleared out the private equity firms and the securitization market that came to dominate the market. As a result, individual investors have seen a sudden rise in the returns they can earn.

Quick reminder that Brock VandenBerg will be hosting a live webinar, Earning Yield in Today's Volatile Market, October 12th (tomorrow) at 11:30am.

We will cover topics such as, (1) what is a mortgage fund, (2) how investors earn yield, even in an uncertain market, (3) the risks and rewards of a mortgage fund, especially in a rising rate environment, and (4) review our portfolio of loans to explain why we have been able to avoid many of the issues that other mortgage funds are having to manage (ie. construction loans).
