The Parra Team
I worked with several excellent realitors over the yerars; however, The Parra Team exceeds them all. From the intitial meeting on my back patio, Javier and his impressive daughter, Melody were in my corner the entire process.
Communication:
Since we were under time constraints, Mr. Parra sequenced the process, offered expertise, provided to do do lists and hard copies! (I am a hard copy person). For example, I asked,
"Should we stage the house?" Mr. Parra and Melody walked through the house pointing areas to improve; They made adjustments and recommendations (Melody taking notes). We decided a combo-some rooms we would stage; other area we would declutter (Javier pointing out that we want to hilight the square footage and the beautiful hard wood floors)-Efficient & Brilliant!
Response Time:
All my questions were answered immediatly; moreover, the proactive communication was exceptionally helpful. Often I would get a heads-up text, "Sending two documents" with specific instructions in LAYMANS TERMS. If Mr. Parra was not available, Melody was able to advise. I felt like I was their priority.
Open House:
Prior to open house, The Parra Team mailed 800 invites and sent a professional photographer who took pictures of the house and property. The photographer used a drone to take pictures from the mountains behind the house to highlight the nature and trails producing the most beautiful brochure describing the "Shalom" property as a refuge for those who value privacy, nature and peace. (Melody's imprints all over this Flier!) Mr. Parra hired a jazz guitarist for the 63 people-friends, family and potential buyers-it was a CELEBRATION!! The Parra Team also brought a crew to park cars which allowed the new owners to see the driveway and parking options. Perhaps, that is why I was so busy showing my house to highly motivated buyers for two weeks. Mr. Parra set the tone.
Prowess and Networking:
We reviewed several offers, but Mr. Parra was able to negotiated more than asking price for a couple living out of state. Javier's daily communication with the buyer's agent was key. Mr. Parra used several of his connections (lawyers, title experts and notaries) to align the trust and the deed to the house. There were zero issues with the sale of the house because Mr. Parra proactively dealt with all compliance issues. Mr. Parra's network has been built from decades of transactions; In our time of need, it was awesome to have experts on our side.
Transition, Expertise and Ex*****on:
In between showing the house, we found a condo in another town (close to nature and near my 87 year old mom). On a Sunday afternoon, I contacted Mr. Parra and communicated that this paticular condo was for me. That very same Sunday afternoon, Mr. Parra drfafted a proposal to the seller's agent and communicated that his client will purchase a Condo in the next few days and we needed a response. The very next day the agent for the condo accepted our contingency offer. Later on we were told that another offer came in (5K more with no continuencies) but Mr. Parra already secured the legally binding offer. It made all the diffence to have an expert who quickly acted on my behalf.
The condo was mine thanks to Mr. Parra's expertise and immediate response. Relationships, Efficiency-Saving Thousands! Mr. Parra worked with the buyer's agent for my house and simutaneously with the seller's agent for the condo. Considering the buyers for the house were from out of state (different time zones) with a VA loan (more red tape) and the condo was in another city, arranging a move out and move in date would be near impossible; however, Mr. Parra established a solid and amiable relationship with the agents through weeks of consummate dialogue; Mr. Parra clearly demonstrated expertise and trust which gave us some leniency. Mr, Parra orchestrated the move out from the house and the move in to the condo on the SAME DAY!! On the morning of 5/11/26 we had a crew load everything from the house; In the afternoon we unloaded everything into the condo. In 5 hours-Done! If The Parra team was not able to negotiate with the agents, I would have been forced to pay for stoarage and additional movers costing me thousands and time away from my family.
Behind The Scenes:
Two days prior to the move, Melody met me at the condo where she provided expertise where the furniture and beds could be arranged to oprimize the limited space. Melody went beyond the call of duty just like her Dad as we measured and decided where each furnishing would be placed. I simply directed the movers and set up where Melody coached me. Nice to have a person who knows colors, dimensions and vision on my side. Once again, I felt like a priority.
Reflection
The Parra Team was a gift from God. At every turn I was guided and protected. I am a single man with four amazing adult children, two grand babies and I take care of my 87 year old mom.
I am exceptionally engaged with my family, especially during the WNBA season where I regularly attend my daughter's games. Kelsey plays for the LA Sparks #10. The Parra Team worked with my schedule and sold my house for more than asking price and helped me down size and purchase a condo for under budget.
Team Parra more than exceeded my expectations.
