I got super lucky and spent the day with one very special adoptable Smittens cat. 🥹💕
The other week, I was invited to create some UGC content featuring a litter robot. I knew my own cats wouldn’t do well in a production studio, so I asked Smittens if I could “borrow” one of their adoptable cats who was friendly, confident, and comfortable enough to handle a little adventure.
They recommended Lex. And honestly… they could not have picked a better cat. 🥹
Lex is one of our harder-to-adopt cats. She’s a senior, and she has diabetes that is well managed with twice-daily insulin. But none of that changes the fact that she is one of the sweetest, most easygoing cats you could ever meet. She was abandoned at the shelter by her previous owners and was at risk of euthanasia due to her age and medical needs.
She warmed up to me immediately. I was able to pick her up, move her around, pose her, and take her into a completely new environment, and she was just… chill. She was relaxed, curious, affectionate, and such a good girl the entire day.🐱
She also gets along with both cats and dogs, and I really think she could do well in a variety of homes.
And of course, a huge thank you to Whisker for giving Lex her little star moment! ⭐️ I’m so grateful to Smittens for trusting me with one of their adoptable cats and giving me the opportunity to create content that could help someone see Lex for the incredible cat she is.
Senior animals are SO special. I’ve adopted two seniors myself, and I can honestly say it has been one of the most rewarding and meaningful things I’ve ever done. ❤️
Lex deserves her forever home just as much as any kitten does. Maybe even more. 🥹
👉🏻If you’re interested in Lex, you can apply to adopt at smittensrescue.org. Since Lex is in a foster home, you can set up a time to meet her there and see for yourself just how wonderful she is.
Please share Lex. Maybe her person is out there waiting to see this exact video. 🐾💗
