Voak Homes Voak Homes was founded in 2003 by Scott and Cori Voak to sell residential real estate in Northern San Diego County.

Cori brought a lifetime of sales and real estate experience (her parents own a brokerage in Orange County) and Scott brought fifteen years of high tech sales and marketing as well as five years spent as a corporate CEO. Scott also spent a year as Vice President of Land Acquisitions for a southern California real estate developer, an experience that provided strong insight into how developers marke

t and sell their properties. The couple initially launched under the Century 21 brand and quickly became the top producing team in northern San Diego County for Century 21. In 2006, the Voaks adopted their son Zachary and Cori retired from real estate to go into the much more difficult field of child raising. In 2008, Scott moved his team to Weichert Realtors Elite. His first full two years with Weichert, Scott was the number 2 selling agent world-wide (measured by sales $). However, the experience with Weichert was similar to Century 21, the brands themselves did not add much value. The corporate systems were aimed at helping inexperienced agents sell smaller properties where the company could make more money. So, in 2012, Scott left Weichert and set up his own independent brokerage under the Voak Homes name while he looked for a company that could provide added value to his clients and enhance Scott’s own marketing efforts. In 2013, Scott worked with his long time friend and fellow top producing agent (and former San Diego Association of Realtors President) Mark Marquez to look for a brand that they could work with to build a brand servicing Executive and Estate homes in San Diego. Mark and Scott compliment each other very well as Scott has the financial and marketing background to drive a business and Mark is a charismatic leader that can build and lead a team. The two found exactly what they were looking for in Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty. A company that is internationally set up to provide exposure that other brands just can’t come close to reaching. As importantly, the San Diego franchise was being led by the same team that built Prudential California Realty into a dominant force and sold it to Warren Buffet at the top of the market so they could take a contract mandated 5-year vacation. The combination of the strongest brand in the industry possessing marketing tools to sell the most luxurious real estate in the world and the most dominant real estate management team in southern California history was too good to pass up. Fortunately, the Sotheby’s Real Estate team felt the same way and an agreement was quickly struck whereby Scott and Mark became managing partners of the Inland Corridor operations for North San Diego County. Scott brought his business into the Sotheby’s Realty fold and focused his efforts on bringing the full strength of the brand to his clients in San Diego. Today, in addition to being the co-managing partner of a growing territory, Scott and Voak Homes is aggressively marketing homes and providing the Sotheby’s advantage to his clients.
