The U.S. Naval Academy is in San Diego for summer training, and I had the honor of taking USNA’s Deputy of Professional Development on a San Diego Bay cruise along with the West Coast Program Director for the Littoral Combat Ship. Both are friends I served with many years ago during my active duty and Reserve years. Spending time on the ocean with other experienced Navy officers is pretty amazing, even if it’s just in the San Diego Bay. I’m out of the Navy, but the Navy is still in me.
