The Hangover | Richard Halliburton House, designed by architect William Levy Alexander, circa 1937, is a very rare example of early 20th-century modern architecture using concrete and steel.

Originally featured in a 1938 edition of Architectural Record, the home's name comes from its hillside positioning: perched 600-feet above the ocean with sweeping views up and down the coast, transitioning to east-facing views over Aliso Canyon, and is considered by many to be one of the most architecturally significant properties in Orange County.

This extremely unique opportunity includes the neighboring parcel and pulled permits for a Marc Whipple designed concrete & glass guest house, allowing a buyer to the create an architectural trophy property that merges the iconic Hangover House with a side-by-side contemporary example using similar materials, all overlooking the Pacific Ocean in the heart of South Laguna Beach.

The house that inspired Agents of Architecture is now for sale.

In the mid 70's, a Cal Arts student (and the father of Agents of Architecture founder, Jeff Walker) moved from Los Angeles and purchased a 40-acre wooded parcel with panoramic views of the mountains & surrounding hills, just north of Grants Pass, Oregon, up a 1/4 mile driveway surrounded by trees.

Designed by the talented artist meets builder; the residence is filled with stained glass windows, custom cabinetry and hand shaved wood beams, crafted on-site from the owners' wood working shop, primarily using materials from the site.

Native trees, seasonal stream & creek, dream garden, and tennis court. This special place was selected years ago to build a dream generational home, now available for a new owner to experience.

The Davidson Residence (1975-79) was designed by Earth Form Builder, a partnership between sculptor James Hubbell and architect Robert W. Thiele, and is one of only a handful of structures to see the Hubbell's vision fully realized. 

The house was initially published in the book ”From the Earth Up: The Art and Vision of James Hubbell” by Otto.B. Rigan, and most recently featured in Architectural Digest France.
