If you're thinking about remodeling your galley kitchen remember to plan lighting and where the new outlets will be installed.
As for shelving, we opted for under-cabinet lighting and pull-out shelves. The dining area is adjacent to the kithen and we lost cabinet space with the new design we added closed shelves on the opposite side of the new peninsula rather than seating. Our project is ongoing and fluid at this point, I'll keep you posted as we make progress. Just work with a seasoned contractor, project manager and design team. Everything I thought would be perfect, was wrong for the space.
