Family Update

Big congratulations to our son Blake, a freshman at Lander University in South Carolina, where he plays lacrosse on scholarship! Breaking into the lineup as a freshman in college athletics is no small feat, but this past Saturday saw significant playing time and scored his first goal as a college athlete. Mom, Lolly, and the whole family couldn’t be more proud — it’s a great reward for all the hard work he’s put in.

Real Estate Market Update

Tensions in the Middle East are beginning to have a tangible impact on the real estate market. The pattern mirrors what happened in 2008 — rising oil prices lead to increased inflation, which in turn pushes interest rates higher and stock market lower. When that happens, home values appreciation tend to slow or even pull back. Is history about to repeat itself?

It will be worth watching closely over the next 6, 12, and 18 months to see how the situation in Iran unfolds and what ripple effects it has on the broader real estate market.
