I try to keep things light and fun for the most part on social, but sometimes life happens. Recently, Paul was diagnosed with cancer, an accidental discovery made during an MRI for a completely unrelated medical procedure. Let’s call it a silver lining and a gift in this process and timeline. Today we head to his second oncology appointment, as well as to start this first treatment. The good news is, it appears to be treatable, and he is “lucky” it was found when it was found before the tumor wreaked havoc.
I post not for sympathy, but to support his mission to F*CK Cancer, as he is walking 30 Miles with Fallon for the American Cancer Society. If you have his #, send him words of encouragement on this journey, and if you could spare a few dollars, consider donating to his fundraising effort. This is not for him; he has incredible medical coverage and a team supporting him. This is Paul raising money for others who are not as fortunate. 81% of donations go directly to program services such as patient care, research, and public advocacy.

Meeting Dolly Parton wasn’t just a memory, but an honor. She was larger than life and pure as gold. When we think of her it’s often I will always love you, Jolene, decades of song, Steele Magnolias, 9-5 or her wildly Dolly quips and humor. But one thing I’ve admired is her using celebrity for good. Her charitable contributions are vast, but the one that hits me the most is her imaginationlibrary.com - read about it, share it, donate. Keep her grand legacy and vision alive and thriving. My heart is heavy, and I will always love her. What a loss for the world. To be in her presence for even for those brief moments will be in my heart forever. 🩷
