We’ve been doing this long enough to know what works for us, and yes, we’ve become a little particular along the way.

So, here are a few things we just don’t do when we’re selling a home…

1. We don’t put a home on the market before it’s ready.
If the paint needs refreshing, the landscaping needs some love, or the furniture needs rethinking, we’d rather take care of it first. Those extra days of preparation can make all the difference.

2. We don’t erase what makes a home special.
Give us the original tile, vintage hardware, old windows and beautiful woodwork. We love the details that tell you a home has a history. Not everything old needs to be replaced. Sometimes it just needs to be shown in the right way.

3. We don’t stage every home the same way.
This is a big one for us. The stager who is perfect for a 1920s Spanish home may not be the person we call for a modern coastal property. We want the furniture, art and styling to feel like they belong in that house.

4. We don’t overlook the little things.
We will fluff the pillows. Move the chair. Bring in fresh flowers. Fuss with the landscaping. Walk outside and come back in again just to see how everything feels. 😂 It may seem excessive, but all of those little things add up.

5. We don’t expect a beautiful home to sell itself.
Getting the home ready and taking gorgeous photos is only the beginning. There’s still the story, the marketing, the showings, the follow-up and a whole lot happening behind the scenes.

6. We don’t make seeing our listings difficult.
If a buyer wants to come early, late, after work or back for a second look, we’re going to do our best to make it happen. We’re trying to sell the house! Why would we make it harder for someone to fall in love with it?

Are we a little particular? Absolutely.

But we’ve seen what can happen when every detail gets the attention it deserves. ✨
