We painted the walls and trim a soft blush tone, added oversized crown molding for extra character, and prepped the ceiling so it’s ready for future wallpaper. Careful steps included patching drywall, repairing corners, and removing an old security camera with all wiring safely finished. Sometimes a door just needs a better spot. For this San Diego home, we handled a master bedroom door relocation that involved more than just swapping frames. We carefully removed the old door, patched and painted the jamb, and framed a new opening to fit a prehung door—making sure the swing and fit felt natural.

Along the way, we adjusted framing for uneven walls, touched up drywall, and matched textures and paint so the new opening blended in. We also installed a new junction box in the attic for a hardwired smoke alarm, making sure everything worked as it should.

Nothing changes the feel of a kitchen like a full facelift. We took on this San Diego kitchen by refinishing the cabinets, updating the backsplash with penny tile, and giving the island a fresh look. Careful prep and protection meant the process stayed clean from start to finish.

Outdoor repairs can bring some surprises. In Carlsbad, we tackled a mix of fixes that made a big difference for this home.

We replaced an old outdoor BBQ sink where the plywood support had rotted out, cutting new pressure-treated wood and bracing it so the new sink would sit solidly. After sealing everything up and running a water test, the whole area was working like new. We also swapped out exterior light fixtures, including two sconces set in stacked stone. Getting a snug fit meant carefully cutting the stone and sealing around the new lights to match the wall.
