Nelson is a husband, a Dad and a third generation Realtor from San Mateo, CA. He began his career as a Property Manager in the 1980's with his family of Realtors & Brokers. http://thomasjnelsonrealtor.com/Testimonials
"Between late 2006 and early 2012 over 8 million Americans lost their jobs and over 411,000 Realtors quit Real Estate (NAR source). I went to work every day as a Realtor; (except Su
ndays, those are my family recharge days). Between late 2006 and early 2012 over 6 million Americans lost their homes. I bought 2 homes, one to live in and one to rent to others at a fair market value and never missed a payment. I was & still am your Winter Patriot, when most were behaving as Summer Soldiers." Since 1999 he has branched out on his own, although never a lone as he quickly formed a team: the Nelson Success Group. A network of inspectors, tradesmen, attorneys, financial & insurance reps, other out of area Realtors, Trans action coordinators and assistants." No man does accomplishes anything of value alone-there's always help, influence and training" says Thomas. In 2003 Thomas "loaded up the truck and he moved to San Diego: beautiful weather, less traffic, less stress! Ah, nothing like shorts and a t-shirt in December!"
Always a fan of self imposed change for growth, The Nelson Success Group relocated and immersed itself into the San Diego Community through the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, several associations that included Toastmasters International & Business Networking International, The Business Alliance Group and many more. Suffice to say it was an up at dawn, down at dusk, pride swallowing daily siege for the first 4 years but by 2007, Thomas and his business went from obscurity (new kid in town) to significance through a strong word of mouth network, far superior to the original Bay Area network. Today Thomas sells 2-3 homes per month, a pace he likes as it allows personal service with all his clients-yes he works with them all personally-he doesn't farm out any clients shopping in his San Diego market area. Thomas will refer clients out when they need help outside his geographic area of expertise.
40% of Thomas' business comes from out of area Realtors and 99% from referral. "i do get the occasional Internet client from my web site or blog/chat room; but I'm proud to say most all come from other peoples referrals to me!"
