💥ELEVEN YEARS! This month marks my 11th year in real estate. When I was a student at I sat down with my best friend when we e made a list of goals for the year, and then monthly incremental goals. My goal for the month was to find an internship at a top brokerage and I ended up finding an assistant job (which I sucked at because I’m not meant to have a boss). After that, at 23 years old, I started my first business Luxe Living Intl, which I would later rebrand as the Fredy Garcia Group. After working bicoastal in SD and NYC with one of the most amazing teams in New York, COVID hit and my goal of being a top NYC broker died. Later in 2020 I joined the BEST of the BEST brokerage in San Diego, and that was one of the best decisions I have ever in my life made. Goals have always been important to me. As a kid I was told I was a dreamer. I never paid attention because in my head, a dream is meant to become a goal, and a goal is meant to be achieved. With that said, we’re also meant to pivot. I may have dreamt something 10 years ago, 5 years ago, one month ago, but circumstances change. Life changes. A goal you once had may not suit you anymore, so don’t hold on to something or work for something that may not work for you anymore just because you fantasized about it at one time. I’ve built a life far beyond anything I could’ve dreamed of as a kid, and now I’m dreaming of a lot more. Dream. Set goals. Evolve. Pivot. You can make anything you want happen, you just have to work and be smart. I hope your years are starting off amazing. Happy 01/11. ☺️
