Hello everyone. What is going to happen with home prices? Well, I can add a little to what the experts are saying about our local market. 5 of 6 major forecasters predict an average of 2.5%. One of these forecasters stands alone and predicts a fall of 3%. So, I think this is a good range to consider with most forecasters predicting a slight rise in home prices. Why? Inventory is still very low. Solid underwriting as well. No one in my circles is predicting a crash of any kind.

The housing market is rapidly changing from the peak frenzy it saw over the past two years. That means you probably have questions about what your best move is if you’re thinking of buying or selling this fall.

Bottom line, decreasing unemployment and a Federal Reserve without interest in raising rates is good for 2021.

Last Friday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released a very encouraging jobs report. The economy gained 916,000 jobs in March – well above expert projections of 650,000 to 675,000. The unemployment rate fell again and is now at 6%.
