About Maya

In 2018, I became licensed as both a REALTOR® and a Certified Transaction Coordinator. Within the first two months of being licensed, I was able to close my first deal, and by the end of the year I will have managed a combined total of over 15 transactions for both myself and my teammates here at Landing Collective! I am so grateful for the opportunity to double as a transaction coordinator (especially in my first year), since I have been able to gain so much experience in Real Estate as a whole and how different each transaction can be.

While I didn’t grow up in the industry, something about Real Estate has always been intriguing to me. Even as a little girl when my parents would be reading the paper in the morning, I would rather flip thru the real estate section than the comics. Maybe that was an early calling ; - ) My background is actually in the beauty and wellness industry, which I worked in for over 10 years. I grew up in Cerritos, CA and moved down to San Diego in 2014 where I continued to work in the salon and spa industry. I found an amazing job as the Spa Director of a fast-paced, upscale wellness spa that is known as the highest-rated wellness spa in San Diego. This allowed me to really hone in on my customer service and team management expertise.

After graduating with my degree in Organizational Management from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2017, I got the opportunity to join the Landing Collective team. While it was quite a change from what I was used to, the second I met the team, I knew it was going to be a great fit! One of my favorite parts of Landing Collective Real Estate Solutions is our specialization in Military Relocation. My grandfather is a retired Sergeant who served in the US Army during WW2, so I have a special place in my heart for our amazing military and the work that they do to provide our freedom. Also, getting to work as a team is invaluable to me. Starting a whole new career would be extremely scary if I had to go it alone. Having a team (specifically one with over 25 years combined experience in Real Estate) is so reassuring and supportive, plus, from the client’s perspective, it’s always nice to know you will be working with the right specialist for your specific needs. Right after joining the team, I knew this would the perfect type of career for me to utilize my skills in customer service, teamwork and long-time love of real estate, and began studying to get my Real Estate license.

I could not have started my journey in Real Estate without the encouragement and support from my friends and family. I am so grateful to have such a strong support system and hope that I can be one of the many supporting entities behind you as you embark on the journey of buying a home, selling your home or investing in real estate.
