7 Tips to Stage Your Home for a Quick Sale!
1. Create Curb Appeal - Make buyers want to come inside! Trim bushes, mow the lawn, plant flowers, repair fences, add a coat of paint!
2. Let There Be Light - Open all window coverings to emphasize natural light. Add lamps, add higher wattage lightbulbs, and add mirrors.
3. Less is More - The less furniture that's in a room, the larger it feels. Remove all furniture and over-sized pieces that you can. Keep only what is essential to the room's function.
4. Remove All the Clutter - Emphasize clean counter tops and space on the shelves. Make sure to remove knick-knacks, coasters, toys, family photos, newspapers, magazine, and mail.
5. Focus on Room Function - Each room should be staged based on its primary use. If a spare bedroom has been used as an office or storage space, consider staging it with a bed and dresser. Consider organizing your storage areas which are always desirable for buyers.
6. Make the Kitchen and Baths Sparkle - Consider painting old cabinets; buying new towels, polishing appliances and fixtures, adding candles and fancy soaps. Remove all unnecessary items from the counters!
