🤦There's nothing more frustrating than having a friend, family member, or neighbor forget you're in real estate or lending! It's not their job to remember what you do for a living, it's your job to remind them.

👉The vast majority or closings don't come from lead generation, they come from relationships. People work with people they know, like, and trust, but only when they are "remembered".

Plus in light of the NAR settlement and slow down in the market, the most important group of people to stay in front of is your database and sphere of influence because regardless what happens, people will work with the one they know and trust.

I wouldn't draft this kid just for this reason. I don't care how good you are; you need to prove it, especially in the nFL. This is the problem today. Everybody feels they are entitled to something.

I got news for you. You ain't entitled to s**t, but you are entitled the opportunity to make your dreams come true.

The day you start feeling entitled to anything is the beginning for your downfall. I say this firsthand.

I might have grown up in a different era, but it was very simple. Work hard put in your time and over time you'll get paid.

Today people want everything up front without doing the work.

Then if you become successful we want to stay there without doing anything going forward.

That would be like getting a 6 pack for 2 weeks and then getting pi**ed off when it goes away 6 months later when you stop doing sit ups and you're blaming your trainer

Just because you have a few good years or a good run doesn't mean a damn thing. What matters is how to sustain it.

Are you going to completely f**k it up like I dide or will you adjust and be constantly willing to learn and

It's not what you do in the easy times that makes your legacy but what you do in the hard times. More importantly how you adjust when times get hard.

One thing I learned is that nothing lasts forever. You might think today you are invincible, but you're not. A simple change in your environment, Medical diagnosis, or interest rate can completely wipe you out in a very short time.

Don't have this approach on anything in life regardless of how good you are at what you do/did.

The attitude this dude has always gets crushed, but an attitude of humility and the will to constantly learn and be a student regardless of where you are in life seems, so far, seems to be the recipe.
