Thirty years ago, music gave me my first real sense of purpose.
Back in the mid-90s with Agua Dulce, we toured across the country, played countless gigs, made albums, built lifelong friendships, and created memories I’ll always cherish. To this day, people still remember me from those years, and I’m grateful ou music brought joy, energy, and positivity into people’s lives.
Then life took a different turn.
I followed in my father’s footsteps and became a history teacher. In the 2000s, I had my own classroom, and I poured that same passion, heart, and energy into teaching that I once gave to music. It was an incredible feeling helping students, connecting with young people, and trying to make a difference every single day. Teaching will always be one of the most meaningful chapters of my life.
And then life took another turn.
Real estate became the next chapter of my journey, and this photo takes me back to one of my very first deals after returning to the business full-time. It was a major milestone in my life. May 22, 2015 was 11 years ago, and I’ll never forget it.
At that time, I was rebuilding my life in many ways. People like Elsa Alvarez, Gabriel Rascon, my family, and friends trusted me when I was starting over in Real Estae and I’ll never forget that. I’ve been able to have the same feeling of purpose, success and fulfillment. It’s a blessing.
Looking back now, it’s amazing how every chapter connected:
music, teaching, and real estate — all centered around people, relationships, purpose, and service.
Thank you to everyone who believed in me through every season of life.
Grateful beyond words.
Amen. God bless. 🙏
