Oscar “OJ” Rodriguez, Broker/Owner In 1982 at the age of 20, OJ began his career in the real estate industry at his father’s company, Americana Financial, which specialized in real estate sales and loans. He spent the next ten years in production and management positions with several mortgage companies. The last position he held before starting NCI Inc., was with BSC Mortgage, a Subsidiary of Ster
ling Bank, in the capacity of Vice President of Retail Production. The name was later changed to National Credit Industries, Inc. After several years of successfully operating NCI, OJ realized that being part of the Century 21 Organization would help him better serve his community. In 1998 OJ purchased a Century 21 franchise and Century 21 Americana opened its doors in Covina, California. Shortly thereafter the company relocated to Pomona, California. As the Broker/Owner of Century 21 Americana, OJ wanted to make sure that his agents would deliver excellent customer service. OJ purchased and created powerful tools and on-going training programs, in a state of the art environment with unmatched resources and the coaching assistance necessary to produce the best service. He sincerely cares and is committed to helping buyers, sellers and agents achieve their goals. In September of 2010 OJ took advantage of a unique opportunity to relocate Century 21 Americana back to Covina, California. Century 21 Americana experienced much growth and success during this time. In the latter part of 2015 another growth opportunity presented itself where OJ acquired Century 21 Citrus Realty, located in San Dimas, California. Citrus had been formed in 1972 and was located about three miles east of Century 21 Americana. Due to Citrus’s ideal location, OJ decided to merge both companies and operate them from the San Dimas location. Since Citrus had been in existence since 1972 and Americana had been formed in 1998, OJ chose to operate under the Citrus name. This acquisition/merger doubled the company’s size. OJ appreciates the importance of continuing education. He is a Real Estate Broker, a Graduate of the Realtors Institute, a Certified Residential Broker, a Certified Distressed Property Expert, and a Certified HAFA Specialist. He also holds the Five Star Institute REO Certification and the Equator Platinum Certification. OJ has also managed an REO pipeline with clients such as Bank of America, New Vista Asset Management, NationStar, Old Republic, USRES, ISERVE and LPS. In addition to this, OJ also runs a Real Estate Licensing Course while managing his income properties (units and mobile home parks). OJ previously sat on the Board of The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, Orange County Chapter and The Citrus Valley Health Partners Foundation Board. He currently sits on the Parent Board of Citrus Valley Health Partners. OJ has six children and currently resides in West Covina, California with his wife Elizabeth.
