As an entrepreneur and creative person at heart, I enjoy the process of home buying and selling. It touches on all of the things I love: people, creativity, architecture, design and negotiating. Real Estate has become my passion and with 15+ years of event planning, event management, restaurant management, consulting + design, real estate seemed only natural. My mother owned a successful clothing

company when I was growing up in Park City, Utah. I love the creative process, helping people and I love business. I learned so much from her and from the many incredible entrepreneurs and businesses I worked with in my years there (including Sundance Film Institute, DRC Restaurant Group, landscape and interior designers). I moved to California in 1998 (Point Reyes specifically), there I ran a local Inn and wedding venue (Michelin starred and 3 stars from Michael Bauer). After working there and learning the event business (having a quite specific knowledge of local venues, chefs and obscure locations for weddings and events) I started an environmentally focused event planning business. Small Blue Planet Events + Consulting was born in 2010. Real Estate and event planning are quite similar, I have found. You are helping someone through an intense process, one that most people are unfamiliar with, they need someone they can trust. It is very important to me to be that person. Having owned my own businesses for most of my life has taught me how important integrity, reliability, competence, care, empathy, skill and most importantly, trust and communication are. I bring all of this focused energy to each transaction. Please, don’t just take my word for it, that’s what the testimonials are for! Jonathan and I founded Dearman Real Estate Group on these ideals. These ideals and giving back. It is extremely important for us, as a company of people who care, to give back to our community. We know how fortunate we are to live and work in this beautiful area. It is of the utmost importance to us that the place we love to live, work and play, thrives. That is why we donate 2.5% of our commission to people and organizations we believe in.
