HOME SWEET HOME! 🎉 Congrats to my amazing first time homebuyers on officially becoming homeowners!

Earlier this year, we met through a referral for their initial buyer consultation. Instead of rushing into home tours, we focused on building a strong foundation by walking through the entire home buying process, setting expectations, discussing financing, exploring different neighborhoods, and making sure they felt confident every step of the way.
At the end of June, they were finally ready to house hunt seriously & just 2 weeks later, we found their first-choice home and submitted their first & only winning offer!!

Here’s what we accomplished together:
✔️$28,000 below the list price
✔️Appraised at $1.1M, giving them approximately $30,000 in instant equity
✔️Closed escrow in just 19 days

Swipe to see 2026 home values @ Rivermark, Santa Clara —> These clients originally reached out to me about a different property they were interested in. We scheduled a showing right away, and during our time together I was able to learn more about their homeownership goals, lifestyle, and long-term plans.

Within just one week of meeting, I guided them through the entire homebuying process virtually, helped them refine their search, and showed them the home they ultimately fell in love with. Despite competing against multiple other offers, we put together a winning strategy and successfully got them into contract. Fast forward to today: they purchased this home in 2021, and as of 2026, comparable 3 bedroom, 3 bath homes in the neighborhood have been selling for $1.6M–$1.7M. It’s a great example of how buying the right home at the right time can build significant equity over the years.

It was during COVID, when interest rates were at historic lows (around 2%) and the market was wildly competitive. My first-time homebuyers were searching in El Sobrante for a single-family home on a very tight budget — and we were consistently competing against 15+ offers.

They kept getting beat out by higher priced offers.

Instead of lowering their standards or stretching beyond their comfort zone, we shifted the strategy.

Have you seen the new murals popping up around town for the Multi-Mural Community Art Project? I love them! Growing up in this neighborhood I've witnessed a lot of development and I am happy to say that I definitely appreciate the character and the community that it has created.

In the Portola, this month signifies not just the end of an eventful year but the close of the Multi-Mural Community Art Project, a two-year effort that has culminated in three new murals along San Bruno Avenue.
