Closed! 🔑✨ And this one gave me all the feels, & My clients are over the moon!

3974 22nd Street in Noe Valley — right at the top of the 22nd Street Jungle Stairs. If you know, you know. Twenty-Five years ago today I made the best real estate deal ever when I said I Do to my husband, Jonathan Hoyt.

It started with a house. We’d been dating for eight months. 45 minutes earlier, Jonathan had just accepted a job in New York when my real estate agent offered me an off-market deal I could finally afford.  

I’m a fast decision maker. I knew I was going to marry Jonathan after our first date (he didn’t know that, of course!)  Sight unseen, I immediately said, “I’m in!” (After all, I’d bid on eight places and lost them all. )

I turned to Jonathan and said “I’m going to buy that house.” “I’ll buy it with you,” he replied. (Remember, he had *just* accepted a job in New York.)  “That’s a lot of money between friends!”, I retorted “I’m not buying a house with you unless we’re getting married”.   “OK”, he said, “We’ll get married.” And so, we did.

It’s been twenty five years. Three wonderful children.  Lots of real estate. 

We are opposites, and that’s why we work. 

• I’m the extrovert who always wants to go to the party, and he’s quieter than I am, which is a good balance. 
• He’s a methodical MBA, and I’m a “go with my gut” gal.
• He’s the list-maker and I’m the deal-maker. 
• He’s the yin to my yang, or vice versa.
• I love a super loud bass line. He’s into Pat Metheny. (By the way, Hon, we have tix May 1st at the Masonic, *that’s* how much I love you)

We may come at things from different directions, but we share the same values, and that’s the most important thing. In Life, and in business, I couldn’t ask for a better partner. 

It always comes back to the Big Blue House, and those 45 minutes when we decided to take a job across the country in New York, buy a house in San Francisco, and get married. It all worked out. I never had any doubt. Happy Anniversary, Jonathan Hoyt. Here’s to another 25 more years. I love you.
