Interacting with several top producers inspired him to acquire his own clients, and Joey’s grit paid off immensely: He completed more than 100 successful transactions over four years and received numerous awards in the process. In 2020, he was named one of the top 500 agents in San Diego County and recognized on San Diego Real Producers' 30 Under 30 list. Early on, Joey learned to surround himself with like-minded people; for Joey, those are folks seeking excellence in life. He’s inspired by those who are always pushing further, including clients with bold real estate goals. Joey is happy to talk real estate anytime, anywhere, but he also loves to golf and spend time with his friends and family. As of 2020, Joey is engaged to his fiancée, Erica, a San Diego police officer; together, they have a hilarious corgi named Bruiser. No shade at your Aunt but let’s make buying a home the best thing you ever did. Being a brokerage owner, I see this everyday. Especially in San Diego right now, we are seeing homebuyers rely on Realtors that maybe have closed 2 homes; 1 being their own.

For the agents who have survived since 2019 or before, you have seen the chaos. Buyers Market, then rates plummeting, then seller’s market, then rates tripling, to wars, to 2-1 buy downs, to a mass exodus of agents, to our now current landscape. We are settling in, but that doesn’t mean you should settle on your agent.

Interview them, find out where they sell and how they help their clients. Ask them what was the hardest point of their career, ask them if they are full time, ask them if they own their own home.

Looking to the future of “potential” rate cuts, and mortgage rates dropping, do not call a random agent and pray for the best results. Hire a legit professional who can guide you, lead you, and help you win.
