San Francisco continues its active January with new, pending, and active listings being substantially above last year's numbers. It's interesting to compare to December as December was much more active than years past. This prolonged activity into December, and active January is the result of low interest rates, and the pandemic upending the typical seasonality of the real estate market.

A snapshot of November market statistics for San Francisco by single-family homes and condos/TICs. Overall, the market has continued to see increased activity year-over-year. The market for single-family homes has stayed strong, while the condo/TIC market has softened. High inventory and decreased demand for condos/TICs have triggered a drop in median sales price.
