We are excited to share that Forge received approval from the City of San Francisco on our community-designed façades for TL 361 and TL 145! In late 2020, Forge sponsored a design competition that challenged student artists from Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Arts to create a unique design for the skin of each of the two buildings that represented the rich history and culture of the Tenderloin. These façades, created by 11th grader Eva Nusbaum-Faust and 12th grader Sofia Regenbogen, were chosen as winners. Keep an eye out for the façades when they are installed in spring 2022! Thank you to everyone who attended our 3rd Community Meeting to discuss the new vision for the 450 O'Farrell project. Working with the Fifth Church of Christ Scientist, it is our goal to provide affordable essential workforce housing to the Tenderloin community, while also preserving the history of the church which has supported this neighborhood for over 100 years.
