Dena Acosta-Beere grew up in Southern California, but when she came to Stanford for college, she decided to make the Bay Area her home. Her bachelor’s degree in American studies (comprising law, history, and literature) inspired her to strive for equal opportunity and social justice. Creating access to real estate for underserved communities is what inspired her to become a real estate professiona

l. Advocating for clients and providing representation to underserved groups and first-time buyers is especially important to her. Dena gained hands-on know-how in real estate through her seven years in commercial property management; she especially enjoyed her five years as manager of San Francisco’s Hobart Building on Market Street. Working with tenants, leasing, and facilities management honed her skills in dealing with complexities in everything from rentals to condominium homeowners associations. But what she finds most fulfilling is helping her clients by taking on their worries, solving their problems, and negotiating for them with the same energy and tenacity that made her an All-American rugby player at Stanford. In her spare time, Dena participates in fundraisers for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and does volunteer work with various organizations providing child care, support, and guidance for young children — something she wants to do more of when her toddler son gets a little older. She relishes family time, being outdoors, and taking walks to discover more of her community’s hidden delights.
