Some homes aren’t meant to be reinvented — they’re meant to be carefully refined.

That was the approach with this Eichler-inspired residence perfectly situated in the heart of the city. Rather than changing the character of the home, the focus was on enhancing the mid-century warmth, natural light, and strong indoor-outdoor connection already in place.

We made a series of intentional updates, including new cork flooring, refreshed kitchen finishes and appliances, subtle bath improvements, fresh paint, and updated lighting. Removing heavier drapes and opening the space to natural light completely changed how the home felt day to day.

Just as important was what we chose to preserve: the original wood paneling, custom built-ins crafted by the owner, and the sliding wood and paper doors that give the home so much personality and warmth.

The end result feels brighter, calmer, and even more connected to the nature surrounding it.
