Due to the order from the Mayor’s office and Bay Area health officials in response to the Coronavirus, West Coast’s offices are temporarily closed. A skeleton staff continues to monitor office activities, but most of us are working remotely and doing our best to respond to urgent needs and the routine administration of the properties under our care. Email is going to be the best way for you to communicate with us, although voicemail messages are also being forwarded to appropriate staff.
Please keep in mind, however, that the Mayor’s order also requires that we respond only to essential needs and services, meaning that we will do our best to respond to critical or urgent maintenance or other issues, but most routine work will have to be delayed until the order is lifted. If you have a routine maintenance request that can wait until the current crisis passes, please hang onto it and deliver it to us later.
We have instructed all of our building janitorial services to step up their cleaning routines, and to focus on touch-points in each building (door k***s, railings, etc.). While these companies also have restrictions and are experiencing reductions in staffing, we hope that they will be able to comply with our requests. If you believe that your building has not received recent janitorial services, please contact your Property Manager right away.
Rent is best paid online through our online system if you can utilize it. Look for the Pay Online Now link on the home screen of our website at www.WCPM.com. We are still receiving standard mail a couple of days a week, so if you do mail a rent check it will arrive. Personal delivery of rent is still an option too, as we do have a rent receipt mail slot at the front of our offices, but we will not be available to issue a receipt and we really encourage use one of the other options that are available. We also recognize that because of our restricted availability and delivery options, rents may be delivered to us later than usual, and we will be granting a longer grace period during the crisis. We also understand that a few of you are facing financial challenges because of the current Stay At Home orders, and we ask that you contact your Property Manager directly to discuss alternatives and payment options.
We all are going to be faced with challenges during the coming weeks until this crisis passes. Working together we will get through this.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Please stay safe, and be healthy.
