San Francisco condos went under contract faster in August than in any August since 2010.

The median condo spent 14 days on market, down from 48 days in August 2025. That's a 70.8% drop in one year.

Why San Francisco’s Condo Numbers Deserve a Second Look

San Francisco’s condo market is showing a meaningful resurgence. July sales increased 26.1% year over year, the median sale price rose 13.6% to $1.25 million, and more than half of condos sold above asking. At the same time, single-family homes remain an increasingly scarce asset. House inventory declined 23.2%, while the median sale price reached $2.03 million and 86% sold above list. Together, the numbers point to a broader condo recovery while limited supply continues to reinforce the value of well-located single-family homes.
