A fifth-generation Californian, Joan attended the University of California, Berkeley where she received a B.A. in film. She has worked in public television as a film editor at Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser and was an assistant television producer at NBC. When she is not helping her clients, Joan is involved with the Junior League of San Francisco and the Eugene O'Neill Foundation. She has been a competitive tennis tournament player all her life and is very active with U.C. Women's Athletics. In quieter moments, Joan enjoys the needle arts as well as modern and Asian art.
