Oʻahu homeowners, quick reminder: September 30 is the deadline to file for a home exemption for the upcoming tax year.

If you own and occupy your home as your principal residence, the exemption may reduce your taxable value and help lower your property tax bill. The City & County of Honolulu says home exemption claims must be filed on or before September 30 preceding the tax year being claimed.
