I will share my screen online with you and show you recent comparable sales results on your screen. I will explain to you my analyses and adjustment of differences. I will quickly teach you my basic methodology while researching with you online when needed. I will give you links to the best free research sites. I will explain how to do it while doing it. Frequently I need no research and answers flow quickly when subject objects are common and ordinary. Online personal property residential contents appraisals are definitely cost effective and often appropriate. Since sheltering from covid I have been offering nationwide live online appraisals on Zoom or FaceTime and a home office onsite inspection and appraisal for the low cost of $90 for 30 minutes.

A lot can be done with an oral report (you document my opinions and conclusions) or, for my standard fee I prepare a formal appraisal report.

All appraisal reports must be worthy of belief relevant to intended use and properly disclosed. I can provide a one page "Oral Appraisal Report Disclosures" (OARD form) that is based upon a Restricted Appraisal Report format that meets the requirements of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). Using face time a client can show me, room by room, residential contents which Novotny can appraise online, including the very rare Satsuma Hodata Vase, with exceptional detail dated circa 1865. By viewing the video inspection clients can see how capable a video inspection is in revealing in great detail all the relevant characteristics of the object.
Online appraisals for most objects can be very fast and cost effective for common antiques, furniture and collectibles (!5-60 items per hour). Rare objects, such as this Satsuma Vase, require diligence and research which can be done, using Zoom, during the online appraisal. I share my screen with the client and and show comparable objects that sold. As part of my service I provide the link and life long access to the digital website of hundreds of auction houses and many millions of concluded sales.
