Homework: “Own Your Expertise Challenge”

“I am an Expert!”
I am attending a five-day “Own Your Expertise Challenge."
Our mentor gave us this homework."
1) What has been holding you back from fully owning your expertise until now?
2) What has been your biggest takeaway from Day 1?
3) My “commitment statement” is___

Answer: 1) To be reserved, as an ‘introvert, shy and afraid or afraid of people making a judgment on me.
2) Expert: According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary:
a) One with a special skill or knowledge representing mastery of a particular subject.
b) Having involving, or displaying special skill or knowledge derived from training or experience.

However, the biggest takeaway from Day 1 is that expertise is a mindset. One just needs to declare it… (You already have it inside you, from your education, research, prior work, personal experiences, etc. Now, commit and prove it)
3) My commitment statement is, "I commit to sharing my expertise!" I will do this by speaking, conducting webinars, writing blog posts, and publishing, such as books and articles.
