If you have time tomorrow, Thurs Nov 13 between 3-6p, please join me and Arms of Angels in hand making a blanket for a student. Here's why.
There are ~6,000 unhoused students in Santa Clara County. Likely sleeping in cars or tents, but showing up to school and presenting like all is OK in life.
The blankets we will make will bring warmth comfort, and security to children that are lacking these most essential things in life.
And when the school administration hands these blankets to the children, it lets the children know that their school cares about them, and keeps them showing up to class.
Don't underestimate how powerful this small act of kindness is.
