East San Jose is where I grew up, and it’s where I live today. So when I call San Jose my home and my stomping ground, I mean it!

One of the most important things for buyers to understand about the East Side is that it’s HUGE—and incredibly diverse. You simply can’t describe it as one neighborhood.

From long-established residential communities and neighborhood businesses to the homes, views and larger properties you’ll find as you move toward the Alum Rock foothills, your experience can change considerably within just a few miles.

And that’s exactly why I’m creating this series.

Before you ask for more … take a minute to notice what’s already here. ❤️

I’m ambitious. I have goals. I have plans. And believe me, there are plenty of things I’m still praying, working and waiting for.

But I never want to become so focused on what’s next that I overlook what’s now.

A good conversation.
A quiet morning.
Someone who loves you.
Work that gives you purpose.
A prayer that was answered so gradually, you almost forgot you once prayed for it. 🙏🏽

Not every blessing arrives with fireworks.

Sometimes it looks like peace.
Sometimes it looks like progress.
Sometimes it’s simply waking up and getting another opportunity to try again.

So today, I’m reminding myself to pause.

There will always be another goal to chase.

But there are blessings in THIS version of my life that I once hoped for. ❤️

We’re kicking off my 10-part tour of my hometown with North San Jose — North Valley & Berryessa!

And while they may share the “North San Jose” label, these areas can offer buyers two very different experiences.

💻 North Valley puts you in the heart of Silicon Valley—with major employment centers, newer housing developments, light rail, and convenient access to 101, 880 and 237.

🏘️ Berryessa offers a more residential feel, with established neighborhoods, single-family homes, foothill access and the added convenience of BART.

So when a buyer tells me, “I want to live in North San Jose,” my next question is:

What does North San Jose mean to you?

Because understanding San Jose isn’t just about knowing the neighborhood names, it’s about knowing where and how to search for the home that fits YOU.

Yesterday was National Grief Awareness Day. But grief doesn’t know what day it is.

Grief is silent. And to the person carrying it, that silence can be deafening.

Grief has energy. Not the kind that propels you forward, but the restless kind that keeps you awake at night, longing for a voice, a touch, a presence you can no longer reach.

Grief is anxious. Because when you lose someone who made the world feel safer, the things you once feared can suddenly feel bigger.

Grief is lonely. We will all experience loss, but no one else will ever know your loss exactly as you do. No one else shared that precise love, that history, those memories, that relationship.

And grief can be deceptive.

The world may see someone laughing, smiling, working, traveling, celebrating and living a seemingly happy life, without realizing that sometimes happiness is also how the grieving survive the darkness.

Perhaps the hardest thing I’ve learned is that grief is forever.

I think of it like losing a limb. Eventually, you learn how to live differently. You adapt. You find your balance. You discover that joy is still possible.

But you never stop knowing what is missing.

And maybe that’s what grief really is:

Love that suddenly has nowhere to go.

So we spend the rest of our lives learning where to put it.

Yesterday may have been the day designated to recognize grief, but for those of us living with it, there is no designated day.

And if you’re grieving too and ever need someone to talk to, reach out to me.

I can’t promise you the right words. Sometimes there simply aren’t any. But I can listen.

Because one of the greatest comforts in my own grief hasn’t been “thoughts and prayers.” It has been the opportunity to talk about my mom. To say her name. To tell her stories. To remember her. To talk about the love, not just the loss.

Sometimes the kindest thing we can give someone who is grieving is permission to keep talking about the person they still love.

So, if you need that space, I’m here. Tell me about your person. ❤️

📍 We’re continuing our stop in Vacaville as part of my “Most Googled Bay Area Cities” series!

Every great city has those special places you might not discover until you actually spend some time there. For Dublin, one of those hidden gems is Don Biddle Community Park. 🌳✨

As the final stop in my three-part Dublin feature for my “Most Googled Bay Area Cities” series, I wanted to take you beyond the homes and the headlines and show you a little more of what everyday life here can look like.

📍 Don Biddle Community Park is a wonderful example. With its inviting outdoor spaces and recreational amenities, it’s the kind of neighborhood destination that gives residents a place to get outside, connect, play, and simply enjoy their community.

And not just the hair done, outfit right, good lighting kind of beautiful.

I mean the kind that comes from knowing you’re growing.
Knowing you’re trying.
Knowing you’ve made it through days you thought might break you.
Knowing you don’t have to be perfect to be worthy of feeling good about yourself.
