🏡 Canyon Lake has been named one of the best places in the country to buy a home right now.

A new analysis highlighted Canyon Lake’s 78133 ZIP code as one of the Top 10 buyer’s markets in the United States, ranking No. 7 out of more than 6,000 ZIP codes analyzed.

Why is Canyon Lake standing out?

Buyers are seeing more homes to choose from, longer market times and more price reductions — creating opportunities for buyers to negotiate on price, closing costs and other terms that were much harder to come by during the highly competitive market of a few years ago.

Canyon Lake is also part of a much bigger story happening across Central Texas. From San Marcos and New Braunfels to Kyle, Buda and the surrounding Hill Country, increased inventory is giving buyers more choices and changing the way homes are bought and sold.

If you’ve been waiting for the market to become more favorable to buyers, this is worth watching.

Friday night football in San Marcos is about a lot more than what happens on the scoreboard. 💜🏈

Opening night for the 2026 San Marcos Rattlers included a special halftime performance by the San Marcos High School Diamond Line — and Walker Texas Team's James Walker got to join his daughter Madi on the field for the Daddy-Daughter Dance.

After a couple hours of practice, James and the other dads took the field with their daughters and did their best to keep up. 😂

We're proud to support the Diamond Line and the students, families and programs that make San Marcos such a special community.

🚧 Major infrastructure investment coming to San Marcos!

Hays County has secured $39.2 million in federal funding toward a nearly $49 million improvement project for Centerpoint Road.

This is an important San Marcos corridor. Centerpoint connects I-35 and the San Marcos Outlet Malls with Hunter Road and continues west directly to the entrance of Kissing Tree.

One of the most significant improvements will be replacing the existing at-grade Union Pacific railroad crossing with an overpass carrying Centerpoint Road over the tracks. Plans also include widening the roadway to two lanes in each direction, along with a median, shoulders and shared-use paths.

Infrastructure improvements like this matter as San Marcos continues to grow. Better connections between neighborhoods, shopping, major roadways and I-35 can improve mobility while helping accommodate future growth.
