Young buyers CAN still buy a home — and I’m watching it happen right now. 🏡✨
I’m currently helping a 21-year-old buyer who just went under contract on a home, and what makes his story so impressive is that this did not happen overnight.
I first started working with him about three years ago. He wasn’t ready to buy at that time, but he listened, asked questions, worked on the steps he needed to take, and stayed focused on the goal. Now, at just 21 years old, he is officially under contract to purchase a home. 🎉
That is something worth celebrating.
With higher prices, interest rates, and the overall cost of living, buying young is not always easy. But “not easy” does not mean “not possible.” Sometimes the first step is simply learning what needs to happen next — credit, savings, income, loan options, timing, and having the right people guiding you.
The article below talks about new tools and ideas helping first-time buyers work toward homeownership. But whether it’s technology, family support, saving over time, or simply having a solid plan, the key is starting the conversation early.
If you have a young adult in your life who wants to own a home someday, encourage them to start asking questions now. They may be closer than they think — or at least closer once they have a plan.
