Be your own boss they said. It'll be easy.
Get into real estate they said. You'll make a lot of money.
All you have to do is show homes they said. Anyone can do it.

Until everyone can't.

It takes a unique person to be a Real Estate Agent. The type of person that wears every hat. The type of person who has to put herself not only second, but many times last. The type of person who is having to reinvent himself every 5-7 years. The type of person who is committed finishing what they start.

I was born in Chicago but grew up in the Boyle Heights community of Los Angeles. I studied Latin American Studies at UCLA and proceeded to teach Social Science in Los Angeles Public Schools. With encouragement from friends and family, I pursued real estate. As in teaching, addressing my clients’ individual needs and establishing trustworthy relationships is primary. In my free time, I love to run. For three consecutive years, I volunteered with Students Run Los Angeles (SRLA) and completed the L.A. Marathon.
