Our newest Prometheans built and painted a children's playhouse with Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley. A little house that'll become a clubhouse, pirate ship, bakery, and dragon's den, sometimes all before lunch.

Once it finds its family to call home, we hope it remembers the proud, paint-splattered Prometheans who built it, and the team who made it possible.

Slabtown knows how to welcome summer!

Sunday morning started on Savier Street with a Core Collective Sculpt class in the sunshine, then rolled into fresh flowers, good coffee, handmade art, and a handful of other local favorites. Hard to imagine a better way to kick things off.

A big thanks to Core Collective Sculpt for bringing the movement, and to all the makers, matcha pourers, and music spinners who helped welcome summer to the Neighborhood.

Last week’s to-do list included crafting toys, making blankets, and trying not to fall in love with every four-legged visitor from Humane Society Silicon Valley.

Turns out a few hours spent together does a lot of good, for the animals and for the people in the room.

Thanks to everyone who spent the afternoon cutting, tying, stuffing (and resisting taking a puppy home)!
