Hello, I am Laura Selucky, currently a realtor at Hoyt Realty in San Saba. I am new to the real estate world, but not a stranger to this community. I am a native Armadillo with roots that run deep in the heart of San Saba. My parents, Mark and Kay Scott still reside in this beautiful town and are active members of the community.

I attended Tarleton State University and graduated with a bachelor of science degree. After college, I began a long and fulfilling career as a public educator. I decided, after 24 years in the classroom, I would venture out into the competitive world of health care marketing.

In 2022, I married the love of my life, Jerry Selucky. Soon after we were wed, we called Deryl Hoyt with Hoyt Realty to assist us in locating and purchasing our first home together. I had decided then, that Deryl Hoyt was the broker I wanted to begin my career in real estate with once I received my license.

Shortly after we were settled into our new home in Lampasas, we immediately began planning to start our own business. Jerry, a master plumber with over 25 years of plumbing experience, and I welcomed the challenge and ventured out and started our own company.

By the end of 2022, J&L Plumbing LLC was up and running strong. Our expert team of plumbers specialize in commercial, new construction, remodels, service and repairs. We will travel and currently cover a large territory. We work with some of the best builders in and around the Austin area. We were thrilled when we were able to bring our services to San Saba and the other communities in this area.

After the launch of J&L Plumbing, I was able to complete my real estate education and received my license. I am excited to be able to bring my marketing skills, knowledge in real estate and recent business experiences with me on this new adventure.

Although Jerry and I have put in many hours working on our goals these past few years, we couldn’t have made it this far without the love and support from our blended family. We have 2 grown sons and 1 daughter. Morgan Amthor is married to Maddy Amthor. They have 2 young boys Oliver and Brayden. Morgan has his apprentice license and is working towards his journeyman. He is a huge asset to our team at J&L Plumbing. Jaden Selucky, resides in Georgetown, and currently works in service for Lexus of Austin. Maddie Amthor is the Deputy Clerk for the District and County Clerk’s Office in San Saba. She is engaged to marry Tanner Keener, of Lampasas in Nov. 2026. Maddie will then be a proud step mom to Huntleigh Keener. We are blessed and very proud of our children and grandchildren.
