This girl. 🩷
Getting to help one of my best friends with her next chapter was so such a privilege.
We had a VERY specific list: an ADU, close to the high school, some acreage, and a little room to breathe…and apparently enough property for a farm she insists will have ZERO farm animals. 😂
(The three dogs apparently don’t count. 🤪)
There were a few contenders we walked through multiple times, trying to figure out which one was really the right fit.
Earlier this year, she lost her husband. One of the dreams they had together was to have a little farm with some acreage for their family. And somehow, in the middle of unimaginable loss, she found the courage to keep moving toward something they had envisioned together.
And she did it. 🩷
Getting here wasn’t exactly smooth sailing. Her other home had to sell first, and fell out of escrow once. The ADU on this property needed to be completed before closing, we had a long escrow, and there were plenty of moments where we had to figure out the next move.
But we made it. 🩷and it was meant to be.
And LOOK AT HER FACE. 🥹 I think that says more than I ever could.
I’m ridiculously proud of this girl. Her resilience, kindness, humor, and ability to still find joy after everything she has walked through amazes me. And all the hats she wears.
And THIS is why I love real estate.
It’s never really just about houses. I get to walk alongside people through new jobs, growing families, big dreams, fresh starts, and sometimes really hard chapters.
Being trusted with something this personal and meaningful is something I’ll never take for granted. 🩷
So happy for you, friend. You did it. You got your little farm. 🩷
Now about this “no farm animals” rule…
I feel like we’re a few months away from a miniature Highlander🐮😂
baby steps….
*and this song felt perfect for this post.
