When the stock market goes down, investors tend to turn to the bond market. The bond market influences mortgage rates ... so when the stock market falls, mortgages usualy get cheaper! Pay attention to the 10 year treasury bond and notice how mortgage rates move in relation to it!

BTW... right now, mortgage rates are shifting lower!

Why would you ever hire someone to negotiate on your behalf if they are willing to give up commission in their representation with you? If they are willing, they must not have much confidence in their own ability to represent you well against other agents. And sellers, why would you choose to NOT reward (with a solid commission amount) the buyer's agent who brings you a ready buyer? Buyer agents are the ones who bring the money to the table. If they aren't going to be paid what they are worth, they may find a "better" home for their buyers to fall in love with. THINK ABOUT THAT. Who can blame them? They have to be paid, too!
