Thanks, Town of Stanley VA, for recognizing our hard work! The new homeowners are such a sweet couple, and I can’t wait to see how they make this place their home.

There were many questionable design choices in the original bathroom. There’s definitely a difference between rustic and rusty. Like the master bathroom, it cleaned up nicely (after everything was removed—even the plaster).

I guess the original occupants ran out of paint, or maybe they couldn’t reach any higher and never heard of a ladder.
All three upstairs bedrooms originally had short cedar-lined closets with limited storage. These closets were saved for storing tubs. In each bedroom, we built an additional closet, two of which were walk-ins.
