I toured The Oak Maison Manor this weekend, it was part of this years Salt Lake Parade of Homes. It’s located in the Orchards at Dimple Dell community in Sandy.

A thought I had as I walked this home was… this is the party grandparents home!

As I walked through this home one thing kind of just stood out to me, this home is for a certain season of life. And maybe it’s because I’m close to that season myself, where I don’t necessarily need a space for MY little kids anymore, but could absolutely picture grandkids having the time of their life in the basement. The sauna, golf simulator, the gym/yoga area, the pool, those are all places my kids and I could enjoy, along side of the littles. That’s what makes it the perfect party grandparents home. A home for the adults AND the kids!!

The chefs kitchen with exposed beams. The stone fireplace and French doors in the primary. And the basement, with a bar and open theater area, the “kids gym”, a sauna, the simulator, and gym/yoga area.

Outside, the pool and outdoor kitchen with great mountain views! Do you see the leaves starting to change??

Bear Lake’s last big weekend of the season, and we’re so glad we went.

It was our first time at Bear Lake, and honestly I’m not sure what took us so long. About 2.5 hours from Salt Lake City and it feels like a completely different world. The water is that unreal turquoise color that doesn’t look real in photos but looks even better in person.

Water one day, with jet skis on the lake. And trails the next. We brought dirt e-bikes and my kids were out on the trials most of the day. We stayed at a VRBO where the location was fantastic. Oh and the stars, something you just don’t see in the valley.

It’s the kind of lake town where the restaurants are local and the raspberry shakes are non negotiable. We ended up at the Burger Barn, along with what felt like everyone else there, but it was soo yummy and worth the wait.

It was their last big weekend before the slower season and the energy was perfect. Not too crowded, not too quiet. Just people making the best of the last weekend of summer.

We’re already talking about going back.

This is Utah. And sometimes you just need a reminder of how good it is to live here.💜 🌅

I toured this home over the weekend, and honestly, the details in this home are fabulous!

It was part of the 2026 Salt Lake Parade of Homes, and it showed. Not in a showy way, just in the way that every single finish feels like someone actually thought about it. Every finish was intentional. Custom stonework throughout, fireplace going all the way to the ceiling, primary suite with wood plank ceiling, floors installed at a slant. Things you don’t see everyday. Oh and the colored cabinets… dark wood in the primary, dark green in the laundry, light brown in the hall bath. The spaces feel distinct.

The staircase landing instead of carpet, I wish more had that. The primary bath has a stone arch detail that kind of separates it from the rest of the room.

And the ADU. A real one! Nice kitchen setup, walk-in pantry, a bedroom with a daylight feel. They dug out and did a rock wall kind of situation instead of a typical window well. Thoughtful in a way most ADU’s aren’t.

Sellers are open to including all furnishings- meaning you could own the complete Parade Home experience exactly as designed. A bit of a rarity.
