Another exciting house set is underway! 🏡

This recent build features a 4-bedroom, 2-bath ranch design with an open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area - perfect for everyday living and gathering with family and friends. The home also includes a spacious primary bedroom with a private bath and generous walk-in closet, a convenient laundry nook, and an attached two-car garage.

Maria Bennett, excavator operator for the day!

To celebrate Maria’s 1-year anniversary with Canbury Homes, we surprised her with the chance to cross something off her bucket list – getting behind the controls of one of our excavators at an active job site!

She had mentioned that she had always wanted to try running one, so we were happy to make it happen!

Maria does so much for our team behind the scenes, and we’re incredibly grateful for the positivity, dedication, and heart she brings to Canbury Homes every day. She is one of the people who helps make Canbury Homes such a special place to work, and this felt like a fun way to celebrate her.

What a great time this past weekend at the Maine Home Show!

We really enjoyed meeting so many people, having meaningful conversations, and hearing about the homes, ADUs, and future projects you’re thinking about. Events like this are a great reminder of how much we value connecting with people face to face and being a helpful resource as they explore their options.

One question we hear all the time is: what’s the difference between a modular home and a manufactured home?

It’s a great question - and one that can be confusing if you’re just starting to learn about prefabricated housing.

Modular homes are built in sections in a climate-controlled facility, then delivered to the site, set on a permanent foundation, and finished to the same building code standards as site-built homes.

Our friends at Habitat for Humanity, York County, ME have announced new affordable homeownership opportunities in a five-home neighborhood in Sanford for qualifying individuals and families.

This program is designed to help make homeownership more accessible, with:
• A very low-interest mortgage
• Monthly payments capped at 30% of household income
• Eligibility for households earning 60–80% of Area Median Income

Here’s a look at one of our latest homes being set on its foundation - an exciting milestone for our homeowners as we move into the final stages of the project.
