Grant Laviale - Area Manager I'm a Non Producing Area Manager looking for Branch Managers and teams for California and Arizona. Remember balance is important for a healthy life.

Originally born and raised in New York, moved from Northern California to Santa Barbara to attend UCSB and never left. Being married and the father of three children has taught me many things. In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym in the early morning, going to the movies with my wife and family, and golfing with clients and friends. I truly enjoy what I do and believe its the all about the pe

ople and leadership that separates us from my experience in both the Mortgage and Banking Industry. It's important to have a "Positive" work culture and support structure in place, especially during difficult periods. I am committed to ensuring our clients and referral partners have only the best experience and advice possible. Perhaps this is why for 2021, we were the #2 Non-Bank Purchase Originator in the Country, #4 Overall Non-Bank Originator (Purchase & Refi), Top 2 Lender for Overall VA & FHA Volume per Scotsman Guide, #3 Latino Originator per NAHREP, and Tech Trendsetter per HousingWire. My core values and beliefs are:

1) Always seek and be open to improvement.
2) It's important to stay positive. My glass is always half full.
3) Be and stay humble.
4) Family first always. I am a Non-Producing Area Manager that is looking for Sales Managers and Loan Advisers for the Central Coast from Paso Robles to Ventura/Oxnard that live by Integrity and Sincerity. Let's connect now to hear how we can align and grow your business together. Connect with me:

Recruiting people fills seats.
Developing leaders changes the whole room.

The difference shows up in what you invest in after someone joins the team. Titles matter less than whether you’re giving them clarity, coaching, and room to own real decisions.

If you want stronger leaders, start by spotting initiative, then give them something meaningful to lead.

Comment with one action you’re taking this week to develop someone on your team.

When the market gets loud, strong producers do one thing first: they get closer to the truth.

They check the numbers. They ask better questions. They stop guessing and start leading with clarity.

That habit keeps the room steady when everyone else is reacting.

Broad product access changes the conversation fast.

When you can say yes to more borrower profiles, you spend less time forcing deals into one box and more time finding the right fit.

That’s where confidence comes from. Not from guessing. From having options that let you serve more people well.

Comment "yes" if you want more flexibility in the deals you can bring to the table.

Your mortgage team does not always need more pressure.

Sometimes they need clearer leadership, calmer direction, and a leader who can say what matters without adding noise.

If people are confused, second guessing each other, or waiting for you to make every call, that is usually a clarity problem, not a work ethic problem.

Share the plan, define the win, and give people room to do the work.

If you want a simple leadership reset, DM me and I’ll send over my team clarity checklist.

Broad product access changes the whole conversation.

When a borrower has W-2 income, self-employed income, a recent move, and a file that needs more care, your job gets bigger than quoting a rate.

You stop forcing people into one lane. You start building around the borrower in front of you.

That is where real service shows up. More options. Better fit. Fewer dead ends.

Some branches are full of people. Very few are building leaders.

If the only people growing are the ones already in charge, you’ve got a seat-filling culture, not a leadership culture.

Look for the people who step up without being asked, take ownership when things get messy, and stay curious when everyone else is just trying to get through the day.

That’s where future leaders usually show up first.

Speed gets attention. Integrity keeps people trusting you when the pressure gets loud.

In leadership, the fastest answer is not always the best one. People remember who stayed honest, who kept their word, and who made decisions they could stand behind.

That kind of trust does not come from talking about values. It comes from living them when it would be easier to cut corners.

If this hits home, comment with how you protect integrity when things move fast.

Branch leaders who coach development build trust.

Trust keeps people engaged when the month gets hard.

Coach the person, not just the pipeline. Ask what they need, give them room to grow, and stay close enough to help them improve.

Numbers matter, but people stay for leadership they can feel.

The leaders who show up are usually easy to spot.

They ask real questions. They remember what matters. And when things get messy, they stay present.

That’s the kind of leadership people trust, because it feels steady, not performative.

If you’re watching for future leaders, look for consistency, curiosity, and follow-through.

The best mortgage teams don’t run on ego.

They run on service. On coachability. On people who care more about the client experience than being the smartest person in the room.

That’s the difference I look for when I think about leadership and hiring.

Volume matters. But character sets the tone for everything around it.
