The AREAA National Luxury Committee is hosting a great online Wine class that is broken down into 3 parts:

Part 1: Bordeaux June 20, 2020
Part 2: Cabs and Merlots TBA
Part 3: White Wines TBA

In today’s session with Sommelier, Scotty Chandler, will walk you through the history, flavors and subtle talking points to take with you to those networking events and mixers. Wine is an amazing bridge to not only a fun night, but to talks about real estate, vacation homes and investment. What better way to build a relationship than through wine!!

Scotty Chandler earned a Bachelor’s degree of Economics from University of Houston in 2013. While working as a beverage operations manager in 2017, he fell in love with wine and decided to pursue it's study. Currently holding a level 1 Sommelier Certificate from the Court of Master Sommeliers, Scotty is enthusiastic to share his knowledge and love of wine with you.

It will be a great way to connect, chat with members all over the country and have a few drinks together!!

It’s Saturday! I want to invite you to join us on “Facebook Live” this Saturday, May 16th, 2020 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm PST and cook along with our featured member, Marco Wan for this week's episode of“Eat Together”. Come and cook along side by side with him in your own kitchen. Also Cooking alongside with Marco is Special guest, Jamie Tian from AREAA National A-List and Michelle Rayo with AREAA SF/Pen our Media Chair!

Marco Wan will be teaching you step by step how to make his delicious “Chinese Style Pork Ribs and Garlic Noodles.”

Ingredients:
Chinese Style Pork Ribs:
2 lb pork ribs, cut into 2” pieces
4 quarts boiling waters
strainer
1 star anise
2 cinnamon sticks, about 6” long ( 3” per piece)
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoon shallots, minced
2 tablespoon ginger, minced
4 pieces of dry rehydrated red pepper skin (or substitute: 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes )
1.5 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup white Chinese cooking wine
1 tablespoon hoisan sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
2 tablespoon light soy sauce
2 tablespoon dark soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
3-4 pieces of rock sugar (substitute 2 tablespoons brown sugar)
2 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 cup of water
sesame seeds
1 - 2 sprigs cilantro

Garlic Noodles:
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1.5 teaspoon light soy sauce
1.5 teaspoon fish sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon chicken bouillon
1 teaspoon white pepper
2 teaspoons sugar
8 tablespoon unsalted butter
12 garlic cloves, minced
2 to 3 tablespoons cilantro, finely chopped
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
Optional: 2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1.5 to 2 lb dry, uncooked, Lo Mein noodles
