When your four year old routinely only eats the top half of her bananas you gotta get creative. 😂

🍞🏡 Just for fun… would FREE sourdough for a year influence your choice of Realtor? 😆

Hypothetically speaking, if you hired me to help you buy or sell a home, and I threw in a free loaf of organic sourdough every week for a year, would that sweeten the deal? Or would you still choose your agent based on experience, communication, and results alone?

As both a local Realtor and the baker behind Grateful Bread SCV, I couldn’t help but wonder where people draw the line between great service and great carbs. 😂

No wrong answers—I’m genuinely curious! Drop your thoughts in the comments and let me know:

🥖 “Where do I sign?”
🏡 “I’ll take the expertise over the bread.”
😅 “Can I have both?”

Nothing productive happened here today.

No major accomplishments. No crossed-off to-do lists. No life-changing revelations.

Just me, a couch, two kids who somehow still think I’m their favorite person, a pile of blankets, and a few quiet moments I wish I could bottle up forever.

One day they’ll be too big to pile into my lap, but today they still fit. So the laundry can wait, the emails can wait, and the world can wait.

Right now, I’m exactly where I want to be. ❤️

Maybe it’s getting older, maybe it’s being a mom, or maybe it’s just finally learning what actually matters.

Lately I’ve been realizing that the best parts of life aren’t the milestones we spend so much time chasing. They’re the little moments that almost slip by unnoticed. A sleepy kid climbing into your lap. A conversation that lasts longer than planned. A quiet morning with coffee. Laughing so hard with people you love that you forget what was stressing you out five minutes earlier.

I’ve spent plenty of time worrying about the future and making plans for what’s next, but the truth is that today is the thing we’re promised the least of.

So lately, I’ve been trying to pay more attention. To appreciate my health. To appreciate my family. To appreciate the friends who show up, the people who make me smile, and even the ordinary days that don’t seem special until they’re gone.

Life isn’t perfect, and neither am I. But it’s pretty incredible when you stop long enough to notice it.

Hold your people a little tighter. Take the photo. Go on the walk. Call the friend. Eat the good bread.

These are the days we’ll miss someday. ❤️

May was such a great reading month! 📚✨

I finished 11 books and found a few new favorites along the way. My top pick of the month was Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman. It was funny, heartbreaking, hopeful, and one of those stories that stays with you long after you finish the last page.

Books I read in May:

📖 A Piece of the World — Christina Baker Kline
📖 The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue — V. E. Schwab
📖 The Exiles — Christina Baker Kline
📖 All by Myself, Alone — Mary Higgins Clark
📖 Inherit the Dead — C. J. Box, Charlaine Harris & John Connolly
📖 The David Foster Wallace Reader — David Foster Wallace
📖 Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine — Gail Honeyman ⭐
📖 Junie — Erin Crosby Eckstine
📖 Me Before You — Jojo Moyes
📖 Gallant — V. E. Schwab
📖 Vicious — V. E. Schwab

A few things I learned this month:
✨ Christina Baker Kline can absolutely transport me to another time and place.
✨ V. E. Schwab never fails to keep me turning pages.
✨ Jojo Moyes knows exactly how to break my heart.
✨ I need more character-driven stories like Eleanor Oliphant in my life.

Have you read any of these? Which one should I move to the top of my June TBR?

The real flex isn’t money, commodities or even being the loudest person in the room.

It’s being the person people remember for how you made them feel.
The one who listens.
The one who shows up for family, friends, and neighbors.
The one who helps children feel encouraged, supported, and cared for.
The one who makes stressful moments feel a little less heavy.

Community matters because life is better when people genuinely care about one another and do what they can to help. Whether it’s offering support, giving your time, or simply being present, small acts of kindness can make a lasting difference.

In a world obsessed with appearances, I’ll always think kindness, consistency, and genuine care leave the biggest impact.

You never really know what someone is carrying, and sometimes simply helping people feel seen, supported, or understood matters more than anything else. ✨

Living in LA has completely ruined my ability to function in cold weather. The temperature drops below 60 and I start acting like a Victorian child with weak lungs 😭☁️

Meanwhile people in New York are casually jogging in shorts while I’m inside wearing two hoodies, clutching a blanket, and googling “is 58 degrees dangerous.”

We are genuinely spoiled. One slightly aggressive breeze and suddenly I can’t feel my hands, my personality changes, and I’m ordering soup like we’re trapped in the Arctic. 😂

Yes, I review books over here too 📚😂 but I’m also a realtor and I love sharing real-life home buying tips that people actually need before jumping into the market 🏡

Nobody really tells you this stuff before buying your first home 👀

1️⃣ Your mortgage is NOT your only payment. Taxes, insurance, HOA, repairs… it adds up fast.
2️⃣ Your credit score can literally save (or cost) you thousands 💳
3️⃣ You do not always need 20% down to buy a house 🙌
4️⃣ Get pre-approved BEFORE falling in love with a home unless you enjoy emotional damage 😂

Buying your first home can feel overwhelming, but knowing these things early makes a huge difference.

Not Me entering the library with a perfectly reasonable plan to “just browse” and leaving emotionally attached to a smiling little book like it adopted me first 📚😭

The animated smile??? Be serious. That book knew exactly what it was doing.

Now I’m canceling plans, ignoring responsibilities, and preparing to disappear into a fictional universe for the next 48 business hours.
