She has served on the Board of Directors of the Historic Santa Fe Association, SWAIA (Southwest Association on Indian Art - Indian Market), and the American Association of University Women. She is currently a member of the League of Women Voters and the Santa Fe Native Plant Society. She earned her MA in Energy and Environmental Management from the University of New Mexico, and worked for several years as Bureau Chief (NM State Govt.) of energy efficiency programs, developing and implementing solar and alternative transportation fuels projects for residential and commercial sectors throughout the state. Her previous experience as a psychiatric social worker makes her an excellent listener, mediator and negotiator.
